Why I Do What I Do: My Journey to Strength, Wellness & Confidence After 40

I didn’t grow up thinking I would become a personal trainer, nutritionist, or wellness coach. But life has a way of pulling you toward your purpose — even if you have to get a little lost first.

I’m the youngest of four girls, raised by strong women — my mom, my aunties, my Nanny (Grandmother) — and surrounded by the kind of love that teaches you how to fight, survive, and care deeply for others. On the outside, I had it all together: athletic, popular, lots of friends. But like many girls, I struggled silently with body image and self-worth.
As a teenager, I developed a toxic relationship with my body. What started as innocent self-consciousness turned into an eating disorder that followed me for years. I became trapped in a cycle of trying to control how I looked, believing it would somehow help me feel better inside.
Eventually, fitness became a healthy outlet for me— a way to build strength and confidence. I started working in the industry and absolutely loved it. But after having my second son, I made the decision to step away from it all so I could fully focus on raising my boys. It was the right choice for my family — but like so many women, I put myself on the back burner.
I poured every ounce of myself into motherhood. Four beautiful boys, a full and busy life in Canada, and all the responsibilities that come with wearing so many hats. I did what women do best: carried everything and everyone. And somewhere along the way, I lost me.
But eventually, something inside whispered, enough.
I walked back into a gym — not to punish myself or chase a smaller version of me, but to reconnect with me. Strength training became a form of therapy. Movement became medicine. Nutrition became a way to nourish instead of restrict. Slowly, I began to rebuild. One rep, one decision, one imperfect but powerful moment at a time.
Now, at 42, I’ve never felt more aligned with who I am and what I’m here to do.
I coach women over 40 not because it’s trendy — but because I am her. I know what it’s like to give your all to your family and wake up one day wondering where you went. I know the frustration of not recognizing your body, your energy, or your confidence. I know what it’s like to want to feel strong and vibrant again — but not know where to start.
That’s why I created this space. To help women redefine what strength looks like. To take back their wellness without toxic diets or shame. To become the most confident version of themselves — physically, mentally, emotionally.
This is about so much more than fitness. This is about coming home to yourself. And I’m so damn honoured to walk that path with you.
You’re not too late. You’re right on time.
Let’s begin.
