From Flooded Floors to Fresh Foundations: A Summer of Unexpected Growth

In my last post, I shared my Summer Survival Guide—real-life tips to help busy moms simplify meal prep and get out the door with a little less chaos. Because summer is wonderful… but let’s be honest, it can also feel like a nonstop juggling act.

What I didn’t expect was how much my own summer was about to shift.

After a stretch of heavy rainfall in Calgary, our outdoor drain clogged and our basement flooded. Total mess. Fans, wet floors, everything pulled apart. Not exactly the summer project we had in mind!

But here’s what I’ve learned—sometimes the mess is the invitation.

That flood became the push I didn’t know I needed. What started as damage control turned into a dream realized: a fully renovated home studio where I now train women one-on-one, in person, in a space that feels calm, empowering, and completely mine.

Here’s the thing: I manifested this space. I’ve been journaling about it, dreaming about it, speaking it into existence. I just didn’t expect the universe to deliver it through a clogged drain and a flood - Note to self: be a little more specific when speaking dreams out loud!

While my physical space was being rebuilt, something else was growing, too: my online training community. Every day, more women are joining my app space, and the results they’re seeing are powerful—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally.

They’re not just working out. They’re showing up for themselves. They’re realizing they deserve to feel strong, capable, and confident in their bodies.

They’re becoming the VIP of their own life.

Everything shifts when you become the VIP
Everything shifts when you become the VIP

And I’m here for it. All of it. The messes, the breakthroughs, the growth.

So if you’ve been thinking about starting—whether in my beautiful new studio or online from wherever you are—know this: I’ve got space for you, and I’d love to walk alongside you.

Here’s to strong women, fresh starts, and unexpected blessings in disguise.
